Description

Exterior shots of Rugeley B Power station - a coal fired power station in Staffordshire. The University of Birmingham have received a research grant from the Science and Engineering Research Council to look at potential energy losses in the turbines at the power station during the process when steam is used to power the generator. Interview with Dr Farhang 'Freddie' Bakhtar from the University of Birmingham inside the power station about their research. A diagram is used to show the way the power station works.
