Last year the council gave only £1,300. Nicholas de Jongh, the Guardian theatre critic called the amount despicable and an insult, but Robin Fyfe, the council leader defended their policy. Tony also talked to the owner of the Dirty Duck pub, Ben Shepherd who said that the theatre is indispensable to the town. Views of interior of the Dirty Duck.
