Hill farmer Ray Ollerenshaw from North Derbyshire talks about his sheep business, the logistics of hill farming, grants that are available and farming within a National Trust area and the Peak District National Park. We see views of his sheep along a lane with Derwent Dam visible, being dipped and Ollenshaw working with his sheep dog. Mixed tenant farmer Bert Watts from Stratford upon Avon has a dairy herd, beef unit and pedigree rams. He talks about the future of farming once EEC membership takes place and looks ahead to the end of the farm price structure. We see animals on his land and staff loading bales of straw. Finally, Angela Adlington who is small holder determined not to be squeezed out tells her own story in a commentary of shots of her with animals at her own farm, Chapel Farm. She is seen milking a cow by hand and using a hand pump for water.
