Dr. O’Shea talks about the Communist party and its links to The Connolly Association. She goes on to detail her memberships of The Connolly Association, The Anti-Internment League and the Irish in Britain Representation Group. She describes her part in organising a mental health conference in 1987/88, prompted by a survey which highlighted a disproportionate number of Irish admissions to psychiatric hospitals in Britain. She finishes by discussing the idea of the Irish as a repressed minority.
