We open with a shot of the front door of the house decorated with a picture of a black cat. The door opens to reveal a boy dressed as a highwayman. Inside the house we see the guests assembling on the stairs wearing evening dress and party hats. They enter the dining room and sit around a large table. Speeches follow with the guests reading from cards. We then see a decorated trifle and the Christmas pudding being lit. After the meal we see a magician (?) with doves (captioned Mr Jeusen Leug) followed by party games involving Disney puppets and the family dancing.
