MACE welcomes opportunities to work with teachers and education professionals to explore ways in which titles in its collections can be used in both formal and informal educational settings. Whether you are looking for films to show in the classroom, would like to shape a lesson/module/educational resources focused on our collections, want to arrange for a curator to visit your students or support a workshop or have an educational project you would like us to partner on, please get in touch.
To help you locate films, the catalogued collection is searchable via our website and over 4000 titles are viewable online. To view films arranged thematically why not visit the Themes pages on our website where you will find series such as ‘Life of the Home Front’, showing scenes from the Second World War, and ‘Voice of the People’, a quirky look back on issues of the day via regional television news vox pops from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
MACE has produced a range of award winning DVDs featuring a range of material from the archive which would make an excellent resource for any library. These are available to purchase online or get in touch if you would like to enquire about an educational discount. A number of our DVDs are also available to schools participating in the IntoFilm schools film clubs for non-commercial educational screenings.
We can deliver bespoke screenings presented by one of our archivists and would be happy to provide a workshop for schools/student groups. Due to the relatively small size of MACE we are able to offer tours and visits but only to limited numbers. Please get in touch with us to discuss your needs and the cost.
To keep up-to-date with MACE’s activities and to find out where our films are being screened visit our website where you can also find our blog and sign up to our newsletter, or like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. If you need help accessing material or want to use the archive, get in touch – we’re always happy to help.
