We see men working in the offices of the Transport Department answering phones and checking documents and a secretary taking shorthand. We also see men playing snooker in a large snooker hall. We then see buses in the depot (likely to be the Parliament Street building) being cleaned. We also see tramcars being refurbished (one marked Nottingham Corporation Tramways). This is followed by exterior shots of the Parliament Street offices and an unidentified man in a bow tie talking to camera. We then see drivers in uniform queuing up to receive their cases. This is followed by high angle views of the Old Market Square filmed from the Council House with trams amd buses running visible. The film then cuts to the opening of the Transport Department's new playing fields at Aspley (Melbourne Park) with a council official (possibly Alderman Parr) giving a speech, intercut with shots of the crowd. We then see two further speeches (probably by Mr Marks the general manager of the Transport Department and Mr Morley the deputy manager). We then see people enjoying the new leisure facilities including a cricket pitch and a bowling green.
