The opening section is missing. We see three uniformed ARP wardens in a bombed out house lifting an unconscious casualty (referred to in the intertitle as the 'third' casualty), onto a stretcher, and preparing to lower them down a ladder. Another casualty (referred to as the 'fourth' casualty) is taken out of the building using a jib assembly. Later we see the wardens leading walking wounded from a cellar before finally leaving the scene by lorry (marked Chelsea Group).
