Description

The story is likely to be an event at Brimfield in Herefordshire in which Liverpool lorry driver John Gillies saved the village from disaster when he spotted that his lorry transporting cooking oil had caught fire and he managed to stop in a lay-by and extinguish the flames. He had been close to the petrol station which had a thatched roof.
