John Withington speaks to various residents in the village of Shilton about the noise produced by the heavy traffic as well as the dangers to life and property that it poses. We see lots of examples of traffic passing through the village with articulating trucks mounting the kerb where the road is so narrow. This is compared with the village of Sharnford in Leicestershire where the M69 has already had an impact on the amount of traffic passing through it. Interview with Rev. Walter Evans who led the Sharnford campaign and states that levels of traffic have returned to what they were when he first moved to the village. We see shots of the quiet main street at Sharnford and construction work on the M69.
