Michael Hickey was one of four men jailed for their involvement in the 1978 murder of Carl Bridgewater from Wordsley, Stourbridge. Andrew Simmons interview with Hickey's mother, Ann Whelan from Birmingham who visits Gartree every other day to show her support. Shots of Ann Whelan shouting across to Hickey. Shots of Andrew Simmons also trying to shout questions to Hickey who has been on the roof since November. Hickey has written on the roof the name of the person he says has confessed to the murder (although this is not clearly seen). Andrew Simmons piece to camera.
