Programme titles appear as an illuminated display on an office building in Birmingham. Dick Graham reports from the open air market in the Bull Ring about the new complex. He talks to a trader who describes the changes in the market from the traditional barrows to the new stalls. Vox pops with shoppers in the market. High angle views of the market. Graham next interviews Canon Bryan Green of St Martin's in the Bull Ring about his church's relationship with the market. Graham then reads out a selection of statistics relating to the construction of the Bullring and talks to traders (butcher, fishmonger and florist) inside the indoor section of the market. He then interviews Jack Love who is in charge of security and Mr Hawks the Chief Engineer. We see views of the loading bay and underground technical areas.
