We see a gathering of children walking behind a banner of the East Kirkby Bapist Sunday School. There are also some children in fancy dress riding on lorry floats taking part in the parade (first section is c1965). After a caption for Whit Walk 1968 we see similar scenes with children parading along Station Street in Kirkby-in-Ashfield (Nags Head pub visible in background). We also see members of the clergy carrying a banner and a Salvation Army band. We then see a garden party which begins with a girl in a garden standing alongside a large robot. The robot costume is lifted to reveal a boy. We then see the girl trying on the costume. Later in the same garden several children are seen in fancy dress costume (including the robot again) and we see stalls and games. This is followed by another Sunday school procession (c1973) including children, a drum band and another fete gathering in a park with stalls and more fancy dress for the children.
