Description

The reel opens with a girl sitting in a push chair in a back garden. We cut to the living room of a house and the girl is toddling (c1970). We can see a Christmas tree on top of the family television set. The next section is in b/w and shows a boy riding a new bicycle in the back garden. Back indoors we see him drawing a cartoon that depicts his father with a film camera. We return to colour for scenes of winter sledging. The next section shows a visit to Lincoln (c1966) with views of High Bridge, swans on the river, traffic in front of the Stonebow on the High Street followed by Steep Hill, the castle and cathedral. We then see views of North Wales (c1966) including a sign for Snowdonia National Park, traffic crossing the Llanrwst bridge and a point of view shot from a car approaching Conwy Castle. The final section (early 1970s) shows a Mini parked next to a Derbyshire reservoir with a cut to show a young girl behind the wheel. The family climb a hill and there is a distant shot of Riber Castle.
