We see people standing waiting the start of a football match as part of the Rocester Festival. The teams take the field (women playing a team of men who are mainly in drag). We see some distant views of the match which is played in poor conditions on a muddy pitch. The next sequence shows children on carnival floats preparing to take part in a parade for the 1979 festival. Various floats are shown including one for the St Michael's Sunday School. We then see the carnival procession taking place including marching bands and a couple of troupes of girls (including the Rocester Toppers). There is also a marching band where all the members wear false beards and a float from local firm JCB. On the festival ground we see stalls (including people throwing wet sponges at a man) and donkey rides and children's races. Some of the marching teams from the parade also demonstrate their techniques again.
