Description

We initially see an office at the Wyvale nursery. There is then a series of intertitles that take the viewer through the processes that are involved in mass producing roses. These include 'planting the stocks'; 'budding' and 'lifting and despatching' as well as others. The final section shows how roses and other plants are packed for postal delivery using brown paper and straw. They are then seen being unloaded at Hereford post office from a Wyvale truck.

Wyevale started as a mail-order nursery operated by the Williamson family in the 1930s in Hereford and in 1967 opened the first Wyevale Garden Centre on Kings Acre Road.
