The film begins with views over the village and the River Avon. The commentary describes the village with an emphasis on its history. There are many exterior shots of the St Peter's Church with a closer look at architectural details including carved faces in the stonework. We see the church house and gardens. Next the film moves to look at the various cottages and houses in the village describing their history. We are shown other local places such as the Post Office, Methodist church, Shakespeare Pub and a former cider mill.
We continue with social events beginning with a pancake race for local women followed by a similar one for children. A fete for the village primary school is next which includes the actor Robin Ellis (Poldark) as guest of honour who is seen signing autographs. Television producer Michael Hart who lives in the village is also seen. Children play on swing rides and a miniature railway. We continue with the church fete held on 10th July. Children dance around the village may pole followed by Morris dancers performing outside the Bell Inn. A children's fancy dress parade is next. This is judged by the actor Paul Henry (who played Benny in the drama series 'Crossroads)' and the television artist Tony Hart who is seen drawing cartoons for children. The final part of the film focuses on the community spirit of the village with volunteers cleaning the church yard and a presentation of an award for the best kept village in Warwickshire.
