Description

Brief shot of the war memorial in Victoria Park, Leicester. Views of trains (steam) at the bottom of a garden (obscured by the hedge). Next we visit a busy lido (location not known) with people swimming. Children are seen on a small hand cranked roundabout and the family picnic next to their car (they are joined by a swan). After further playground shots we see a house decorated with Union flags to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George V in 1935. More scenes of the family out and about follow including the children paddling in a stream and a view of a thatched cottage.

We then see a Leicester tram decorated for the Silver Jubilee (on the Narborough Road route) and further shots of a decorated tram that is stationary (Fosse Road via Great Central Street route). Brief exterior shot of the Lancaster Road fire station in Leicester followed by shot of an unlit bonfire and another shot of the war memorial in Victoria Park. We then see a Leicester bus that has also been decorated for the 1935 Silver Jubilee.

We continue with further family outings - children riding bikes towards the camera, steam hauled trains filmed from a bridge, children standing in a hollowed out tree. Next we are in Bradgate Park including views of Old John and the Leicester Yeomanry war memorial.

The remaining locations are unidentified - we see views looking into a valley, a parade led by a marching band, views of a seaside resort including a pier and children sledging on snow down a street.
