Description

We see and event with musicians performing and a Chinese dragon display. Interview with Roger Li, a Hong Kong born accountant who runs his own business in West Bromwich. He talks about his voting habits. Interviews with the Conservative MP for Birmingham Northfield, Roger King; the Labour MP for Erdington, Robin Corbett; and community leader Billy Ko about the political allegiance of the Chinese. We then see Chinese take-away owner Mr Chung at work in his kitchen and in a dubbed interview he talks about his hard life and business struggles. We then see views of the Chinese Community Centre at Sparkbrook including older Chinese people reading newspapers and there is an interview with Anna Beattie from the centre about the language problems faced by many of her clients.
