Description

The film begins with views of a procession along Main Street at Rempstone in Nottinghamshire including a horse drawn cart, children and adults in costumes and a soldier wearing medals riding a horse. Behind the cart is a children's marching band and behind the band is a group of adults and children in fancy dress. A second shot shows the procession passing the Wesleyan chapel in the town before continuing along Wysall Lane. A brief shot shows the horse and cart in the garden of the Grange. We then see presentations of Coronation medals to local children in the garden of Elms Farm. The presentations are made by Job Nightingale Derbyshire accompanied by his wife Mrs Derbyshire.
