The first part of the film consists of a British Movietone News film of the 1937 Coronation of King George VI. After this there is colour home movie of London streets decorated for the Coronation followed by sequences of people in military uniform on horse back and marching along a road (Trooping the Colour parade?). Additionally we see people in a horse-drawn carriage (including briefly Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth seen together in an open carriage with the princesses Elizabeth and Margaret opposite). The sequence ends with a shot of crowds outside Buckingham Palace. The final section of the reel shows Lichfield Bower and carnival parade. We see a number of decorated horse-drawn floats pass by the camera, people dressed in costume and marching bands (including banners for the Stirchley Blue Belvederes and the Northfield Scarlet Pimpernels).
