Description

We see crowds waiting at the Tweedale Industrial Estate at Dawley for the arrival of the Queen. The royal motorcade arrives and Queen Elizabeth II gets out and is introduced by a line of local officials (one is the architect John Madin). She is then seen shovelling soil for a new tree. We then cut to the Sutton Hill housing estate where people have gathered. Exterior views of houses (some still under construction) are shown. We then see the arrival of the royal convoy. The Queen is introduced to a young couple (Geoffrey and Beryl Dawes) and enters their home. After emerging she is introduced to another line of officials before unveiling a small plaque.
