Intertitles introduce each of the three sections of the film, introducing Spring, Summer and Autumn. Spring starts with bluebells flowering in the wood and we're shown the different parts of the garden, including the Japense garden, in flower and, in the case of one path, 'before and after' shots that show how bedding plants can go from being devoid of paths one week to being inundated after a fortnight. We are also shown young animals on the estate including turkey chicks, lambs and calves. Summer starts in the Japanese garden featuring a miniature version of Mount Fuji, complete with a smoking crate. We again return to the animals that are so much bigger now and also includes ducklings. There are shots of grapes on a vine as well as more shots of flowers. The film ends with Autumn and more flowers and the last view of the Japanese garden.
