Description

An intertitle introduces the film, 'Aug 1935 The Bailiff's Pipe and the Pigs on Parade' and we see a man wearing a flat cap smoking a pipe in one of the farm's out buildings. This is followed by the same man leading a bull around the farmyard and pigs running free in the yard. Another intertitle: 'Harvesting and Thrashing 1935' introduces a whole sequence that records the harvest: from the wheat being cut and bundled into sheaves, men and women stacking the sheaves so that they can dry out and then feeding a steam driven thresher. The film ends with a caption for the Harvest Festival of Oct 2nd, 1938 and what looks like a still photograph of a display.
