Description

The film includes inter-titles giving details of the places visited. The film opens with the crew of the Bowstring sailing south from Athens to Poros. We see Batsi on the island of Andros viewed from the boat followed by a trip ashore at Tinos to see a historic monastery. After more views on board the yacht we see the party examining ruins on the island of Delos. At Patmos they visit another monastery dedicated to St John the Divine. More views from the yacht followed by a visit to Kos where we see further Greek ruins. We then see views of the coastline as Cape Krio in Turkey is passed. We then stop in a harbour where we see local sailors trying to get a donkey from their boat and see fishermen with nets. There are views of a small town and a traditional Greek windmill. Back on board we see the crew carrying out repairs, washing down the decks on the return journey to Corfu before their final anchorage at Gouvia Bay.
