The Gloucester Community Relations Council has published a report that is critical of the availability of accommodation for young black people in the city of Gloucester. Vera Gilbert talks to Harry Cohen who wrote the report about his findings. She also talks to a spokesman for the housing department of Gloucester City Council who is critical of the report. He points out that they are only responsible for people from the age of eighteen and the Community Relations Council report also deals with younger homeless people who are the responsibility of social services. We see views of Gloucester Cathedral and an area where bedsits and bed and breakfast accommodation can be found. Shots of people attending the Ebony Club, one of the few black clubs in the city. Inside we see people taking part in a drum workshop and playing pool. Vox pops with people at the club. Vera also talks to a man who has recently moved into a council house on Alvin Street with his young family. He has been given £15 to do up the house which he thinks is insufficient. There are also views inside another house on the street that is suffering from damp.
