We open with exterior shots of houses in Kegworth decorated with flags and bunting as the residents stand outside for the camera. Next we see inside a classroom at Kegworth Primary School that has been decorated with children's work related to the jubilee. There are also some shots of the children in class with their projects. We then see people putting up flags on the outside of the school (in rain).
The film continues with shots of women in the school kitchen preparing food and setting up tables (a television showing the Silver Jubilee parade in London is visible). Further scenes of preparations outside the school follow. This is followed by shots of a celebration held at the school including children in fancy dress with decorated buggies, go-karts and bicycles followed by adults in fancy dress and a marching band and parade. A tug-of-war for the adults on the playing fields follows as well as a space hopper race, three legged and sack races. At the end of the film we see children having a picnic outside the school.
