Description

We see the Prince and his aides arriving by car, mounting a platform in Bulwell market and being greeted by the Lord Mayor (Councillor Berryman), the Sheriff (Councillor Parkes), the Town Clerk (Mr W J Board) and an unidentified woman. The Prince and the town officials then leave together by car.
We next see the party entering the Forest on foot, leading a civic procession, and mounting another platform. From here we see the Prince address a crowd of 20,000 schoolchildren waving flags and handkerchiefs and a group of nurses.
We then see the reassembled motorcade drive along Parliament Street, past the Elite Picture House, and King Street, which are lined with more cheering crowds, and into the Old Market Square. We then see shots of the motorcade crossing Trent Bridge and of crowds on the Embankment, followed by shots of more crowds on Friar Lane and Standard Hill and views of Castle Boulevard and Castle Rock.
We then see crowds waiting outside the Boots Factory at Island Street and the Prince's car approaching and entering the factory at Station Street. We also see crowds of workers outside the Players factory and the Prince greeting an unidentified woman.

Notes

The opening title states that "This picture was taken exclusively for the Elite Picture Theatre, Nottingham". The picture house opened in 1921 and closed in 1977.
