The film begins with shots of the Methodist carnival queens (including Jane Hurst) on carnival floats before they begin their journey to the site of the fete (including walking along Regina Street and Ford Green Road). This is followed by views of the carnival itself, which is ed by a marching brass band and a troupe of syncronised dancers. On arriving at the fete held in the grounds of Ford Green Hall, the queens are crowned after which the fete begins. Attractions at the fete include a fancy dress parade, may pole dancing and a brass band performing.
