Description

We first meet Ian Wise in the factory where he works packing Co-op 99 brand tea bags.

Throughout the film Wise provides a voice over about his reasons for becoming a Labour councillor and what he hopes to achieve for the people of his community.

Wise is seen visiting his uncle Doug who is a dairy farmer and also an independent councillor. We also see Wise visiting various residents in Halmer End including an elderly man who keeps pigeons and another (Jack Johnson) who remembers the 1926 miners strike.

We also see Wise jogging through Halmer End; visiting his brother; discussing the Labour party with fellow party members; visiting the civic offices; and chairing a meeting.
