We open with a shot of Richard Snodin junior at home with the telegram that inviting him to appear on the television game show 'The Golden Shot'. We then see his first appearance (2 May 1971) filmed from a television screen of the live broadcast from Birmingham. Presenter Bob Monkhouse and Richard are seen followed by a brief clip of that week's celebrity guest the magician David Nixon. We continue with views filmed from a television of his appearance the following week (9 May 1971), which is presented by Pete Murray. This longer sequence shows Snodin in the studio with lion cubs explaining his job of ranger on Lord Gretton's reserve, firing the Golden Shot crossbow and brief shots of that week's celebrity guests Roy Orbison and Ray Alan. We end with shots of Richard at home with his prize which was a set of encyclopaedias.
