The film begins with a woman and child by a Christmas tree. This is followed by various shots of a small child and parents with other friends and family members in gardens including shots outside the family home in Brattleby, Lincolnshire and Reigate, Surrey. We see shots of a fete and a horseracing event in unidentified locations. Later there are shots of engines at work at Ruston & Hornsby Ltd, Lincoln (shots of cathedral in the background). The film ends with further scenes of the woman and child in the back garden.
