Description

We see shots of shoppers and various market stalls in Glossop market hall including: Parker's cheese stall, Jean's confectionary, D Hopkins china and earthenware, Denton cooked meats, Ballington's butchers. We then see people clearing the hall and men moving a refrigerator cabinet. Next we see more shots of stalls (in a temporary location?) of Ballington's, AW Bradley fruit and veg, H Kelly fruit and veg, A Oliver furniture, a toiletries stall and women on a butcher's counter. There are shots of the mayor unveiling a plaque on 18th October 1973 commemorating the reopening of the market and shots of AW Bradley's new fruit and veg stall. The film ends with shots of a family and a dog indoors.
