Description

A Ruston No 6 Crane Navvy excavator is shown demonstrating certain aspects of its functionality. These include a slewing test, in which the crane revolves; views of its caterpillar tracks; travelling over rough ground as well as up an incline; turning in a tight circle; views of the bucket. We then see views of an excavator mounted on railway wheels in operation followed by one that is used in the ironstone excavation industry.
