Description

Opening shots of oil rigs at sea and oil pipelines as the commentary describes how the Ruston Industrial Gas Turbine is the ideal choice for moving oil from rig to terminal. After an establishing shot of Lincoln we see the factory of Ruston Gas Turbines Ltd. Inside there are views of processes involved in the production of turbines. The reliability of the device is illustrated with shots of a turbine in Kuwait that has been working since 1956 and another at the AGIP company in Italy that went into operation in 1955. We then see on-site maintenance work and views of a turbine in use at Al Ahmadi in Kuwait. A still photograph of a similar application at Cook Inlet in Alaska follows. Further applications are then shown: an oil pipeline in Nigeria, off shore rigs in the Arabian Gulf; water pumping use in Venezuela; and Persian Gulf drilling and pumping by the Iranian firm Iminoco.
