Description

The film uses the device of a young couple (Paul and Susan) who have moved to the town and want to find out more about Leamington's heritage. They visit a local expert who first shows them an old map and some historic engravings and then gives them a tour of the town pointing out its amenities including Jephson Park as well as the large number of historic buildings. We see views of the Regent Hotel, Georgian crescents in the town, the pump house and shots of the River Lean (at one point the trio row along the river). There are also views of shopping streets, a brief view of the railway station, shots of buildings being demolished and new industry on the outskirts of the town.
