This reel begins with guests arriving at St John the Baptist's Church in Bishop's Castle for a wedding. The guests are followed by the bridesmaids and then the bride after which the film jumps to the bride and groom departing with much confetti in evidence (this section is a little dark).
Next is a motor racing hill climb (Shelsley Walsh?); another newly married couple outside a church, a King Charles spaniel with puppies and an older man cleaning out wooden barrels using a hose pipe.
Brief shots of another wedding follows and then a Christening, with a group of women posing with the baby outside the church. Two girls dancing around a bird feeding bowl are next followed by two women gardening.
The remainder of the reel is in colour. This section begins with cows in a field, a woman climbing a hill and a record of another wedding at which we see the bride and bridesmaids arriving by car. This is followed by shots of a carnival in Bishop's Castle including the 'Suez Skiffle Scuttlers', a comic band in which members dress as Arabs and are accompanied by a people in a camel costume. The band joins the local carnival which includes a carnival king on a float as well as the more traditional carnival queen. Rock 'n' roll dancing teenagers on the back of a flatbed truck also feature. After this is a county show where horses, hounds and huntsmen appear alongside a military band and close ups of a 'dressed' shire horse. The film continues with the resurfacing of Church Street at Bishop's Castle and finally a combine harvester at work in a field and building work on what looks like a house extension.
