Description

The film begins with distant shots of deer in the grounds of a large country house. We then see shots of two women in a garden and two children in a lane. A group of women and children are seen boarding a bus in Kniveton. Several views of farmers outside their properties and people working on the land including a man sharpening a scythe and then cutting grass and farmer feeding chickens. Next in a field we see hay being gathered and loaded onto a cart and horse drawn wagons on a lane followed by cattle walking along the road. The film continues with women at a water pump in the village, further shots of crop harvesting and people getting off the bus. There are shots of a farmer with a bull and a man herding a flock of geese. The film ends with a woman wringing out laundry.
