Description

We see colour views of people sailing small boats at Olton Mere, Solihull. A woman and a group of children watch from the bank and two children pose for the camera with their boat. There are views of woodland next to the water and general views of the reservoir. We then cut to views of a frozen Olton Mere with skaters venturing onto the ice including a man with a dog and a group of boys who take several tumbles. We then continue with further views of boats sailing on the water in fine weather. We then cut to b/w and see a group of swimmers entering the water followed by further b/w views of sailing and a man with a motor boat. The final section is in colour and shows the sailing of Firefly class boats at Bittell Reservoir near Barnt Green in Worcestershire.
