Description

Bob Gillman interviews a representative from Elmdon Airport who is involved with plans to extend the runway, despite local opposition. The interviewee states that they have backing from the Ministry and all planning issues have been cleared so they expect the project to go out to tender within the next three months. Gillman mentions local objections and the interviewee says that there are bound to be objections, but that the plans have accomodated the objections as far as possible by pushing the runway further back (and away from residential areas). He feels that there should be no more objections.
