Description

We see mute shots filmed from a railway carriage travelling on the Great Central line. We see stations at Quorn and Woodhouse, Chesterfield, Heath, Hucknall Central, Nottingham Victoria, Ruddington, Ashby Magna and Woodford Halse. Tim Downes interviews the rector of East Leake in Nottinghamshire and resident Mrs Langham about proposed closure of the railway and the difficulty that will result for people travelling into Nottingham. He also talks to Mr Farnham of Leicestershire County Council who has a business at Quorn and talks about the high level of traffic on the A6.
