1. Workers from Whitworth Gloster Aircraft Ltd leaving Coventry to travel to London to campaign against proposed redundancies. We see the men holding a banner 'W. G. A. Wants Work' (Whitworth Gloster Aircraft Ltd). The men are then seen boarding coaches in Coventry.

2. A pond at Oswestry that has not frozen despite the very cold conditions. We see a man with a metal bucket collecting water from the pond. He then measures the temperature of the water with a thermometer.

3. We see the exterior shot of new flats on Gray Court in Peterborough. Inside the furnished flats we see a woman in a kitchen, a gas fire, a bathroom and a bedroom.

4. We see an ice hockey match and speed skaters on a pond at an unknown location.
