Film inserts for a television programme about the city of Hereford.
On a misty day we see shots of the River Wye in Hereford and an establishing shot of Hereford Cathedral.
Interview with Doctor Cyril Francis who describes the character of the area and its industry. Francis, is a local character as not only is he still in practice at the age of eighty five but he does his rounds by horse and cart.
We then see shots of traffic in the city centre and the 1960s built road-bridge over the river.
An unnamed local historian then provides a piece to camera describing some of the history of Hereford.
During this we see exteriors of an old house on Butcher's Row as well a shot of the Market Hall.
The next piece to camera is by an unnamed representative of the Herefordshire Young Farmers who describes their aims and interests.
We then see another farmer being interviewed about the success of the Hereford cattle in South Africa and Russia.
We see a line of Hereford bulls at an auction.
Dr Francis is then seen on the road in his horse and cart.
We then return to the interview with the doctor about his unusual mode of transport.
Next we see production shots at a cider factory in Hereford. Apples are seen being sorted by machine and pressed, then we see the large storage vats and activity in the bottling plant and finally trees in an apple orchard.
We return again to Dr Francis who talks about the longevity of the Hereford population and finally a short piece to camera from the historian ends the film.

It is assumed that the film that exists for this title was used as an insert into either a live studio or an as-live recorded on video tape programme. The shots of Dr Cyril Francis doing his rounds by four-wheel dog cart is ex-Library from Midlands News 12 January 1965.
