We see a carnival parade entering a playing field area led by marching bands (includes the Acromacks of Oldham and Manchester) followed by a vintage Barton bus, children on decorated floats and parading on foot. We then see the crowning of the Kegworth carnival queen on a stage and views of various steam driven organs, including a Chiapa Ltd card fed fair organ, and steam traction engines, including a John Vernon steam roller from Newbold Verdon, Leicester. A flaming stunt man dives from a high platform into a pool of water and we see sales from an ox roast beef and children riding on a miniature railway. The film ends with close ups of parts of a steam traction engine.
