Description

Colour views (with some emulsion damage) showing deck games on board the ship including passengers blind-fold on their hands and knees and later a tug of war. Kronborg (Shakespeare’s Elsinore Castle) is viewed from the ship and we have further on board games of deck quoits. Next at Copenhagen a group of women pose for the camera on the harbour wearing sun hats and one holding a parasol. Back on board the ship we pass (filmed in b/w) the island of Bornholm in the Baltic and also see distant views of Kiel. The next stop is Hamburg in Germany where we see (in colour) ship and tugs in the harbour and there are views of local people passing the camera on the quay (women and girls in distinctive German ‘Fraulein’ costumes are seen). Back on board the ship there are further games of quoits before the reel ends with a brief shot of the Tilbury Hotel on the arrival back in the UK.
