Description

Brief shot of the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen harbour. Several former presidents of the Federation of Soroptimist Clubs of Great Britain and Ireland pose for the camera outside a church. Inter-titles identify some of the participants and their roles within the organisation (these titles are a later addition as they include roles taken up after 1952). Named in the film are: Reverend Ernest John, Patricia Lee Minar, Dr Noel, Grace Chandler, M.A. Cox, Dr D. Griffiths, Olga Meisner, Muriel Bond, Clara Hammerich, Dr V. Parkes, M.F. Adams (also seen but not captioned is Dr Parimal Das of UNESCO). The reel ends with brief views of the lights of Tivoli Gardens at night.
