The film begins with shots of one of the Walsall Sea Scouts in spring 1946 chopping firewood and trimming a hedge to pay for his funds on an international scout camp at Beaudesert Park in Staffordshire. Then we see the scout setting off for the camp in the summer as his parents wave him off. The film continues with shots of scouts setting up tents and flagpoles at the camp. We then see various camp activities including: scouts around a campfire, scouts meeting the chief scout, singing songs for a BBC recording, international scouts being presented with a knife sheath from England and various traditional dances and demonstrations from different countries attending the camp.
