The reel contains inter-titles (mainly grouped together and not followed by the corresponding footage). We see stages in the production of the Hereford Times newspaper from the arrival of large rolls of paper at the offices on Maylord Street in Hereford to shots of the journalists, editor and assistant editor at work. We also see views of the metal foundry where the metal pages are prepared for the press and the compositors at work setting the letters in place. There are also short sections showing events in Hereford (which the Hereford Times would have covered) including a parade of dignitaries entering Hereford Cathedral and the Home Secretary laying the foundation stone for a new fire station in the city.
