Description

Programme introduced by Zia Mohyeddin. The first item is a studio performance from the A Cappella singing group The Mint Juleps who sing 'Jimmy Mack'. Next on film Paula Ahluwalia meets the African artist Kofi Ankobra. He has English heritage but was brought up in Ghana. We see examples of his work and Ankobra talks about his influences. There is also an interview with Charles Easmon who has commissioned work from Ankobra. Next in the studio there is a performance from the Chilean folk group Quilapayun. Finally in the studio Vera Gilbert interviews the Leicester born actress Josette Simon about her work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
