Description

Programme presented by Zia Mohyeddin. In a film report Peter Emina meets session singers Dee C. Lee and Joy Yates and interviews them about their work. Lee who is best known for backing Wham and the Style Council is seen in a recording studio working on her first solo single and we also see Joy Yates performing in a studio. A clip from a Wham video is also shown. Next Mita Hackett reviews the latest Indian video releases and shows clips from Sparsh and Ek Din Bahu Ka. We then see a studio performance from the Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco Pena. Finally Vera Gilbert interviews designer Charles Broomfield about the Black and White Designers Awards which honours Midlands fashion designers and are held annually in Birmingham. Models show off designs from last year's winner Sylvia McIntosh.
